Editor's Comments
Fourteen years ago, in 1994, in October, I had the idea of promoting a printed media of world level  of the breeding and the exceptional qualities of our Peruvian Paso Horse and joining my profession with my love for our equine breed the first edition of Made in Peru was released for a national competition on April 1995.

The name said everything: Made in Peru, our horse and the bred improved through the years of dedication of its breeders.

We are, thanks to all the aficionados, the first magazine in Peru specialized in Peruvian Paso Horses, the first to put in color, images and illustrations of our equine on paper and distribute to abroad.

Then several ideas came…we first created de Stallions Calendar which was published for first time in year 2000 and then the Mares Calendar which came out on this year, 2008.

We also created the first software of the PPH's genealogical tree for PC were by only writing the name of the animal we can print all its ascendance and decendants.
I tell you all this because thanks to all of you all this could be done in some way or the other, with sponsorship, subscriptions o supporting with articles or constructive critics, your loyalty, recognition, or simply with a real and sincere smile which full with energy the most exhausted body after a new edition.

Dear readers, while this effusion exists, this caring and profound love for our horse the flame of “Made in Peru” will remain alight, because this magazine you are holding today belongs to everyone from Patagonia to Alaska, from Peru to Indochina, we will be united by the strength of our horse by that silence power which joins us in any opportunity, as today are the competitions, the National of the United States and the one from Ecuador. Here from Lima-Peru behind a desk I am writing this editorial with a lot of excitement, sending you the warmest greeting to all of you participants, aficionados and spectators.

I don't want to end without tributing my biggest thanks to José Luis Gagliardi, who always believed in the magazine since its beginnings and who with the support of Banco de Credito del Peru, turned it into the finest and purest crystal with the strength of a diamond. It is to him that this edition number 40 is dedicated, with affection and the usual admiration.
