The sunny lands of Ica, our “Small South”, and beloved Huancavelica on August 15 suffered once more from the violence of nature; the earthquake reached its greatest intensity in Pisco, province of splendid natural landscapes with an abundance of marine life and other fine natural riches.

Natural and world solidarity was present with aid in those difficult hours, for which we are deeply grateful and will never forget. Healing their wounds, Peruvians began to rebuild bearing in mind that we live in lands subject to the fury of nature that can occur at any moment.

With those first unfortunate days behind us, we come to the longed-for month of September, a month propitious for all our nations to get together once again. This time, at the 62nd Peruvian Paso Horse National Show, united we will welcome all visitors with our customary cordiality, showing them our appreciation for their valuable support and generous aid, telling them that we'll join forces to go forwards. In the hearts of Peruvians there will live forever a sense of brotherhood, together with the promise of applying it to our daily lives.

The solidarity that has been shown leaves us the message of “hold together in the good times and the bad.” So must our country and our world act, and why not apply this also to our noble breed of Peruvian Paso Horses?

This 36th Edition will appear at three Peruvian Paso Horse shows in Peru, Ecuador and the U.S. It goes dedicated with much affection to our brothers and sisters in Pisco, with the sincere desire that they may go forwards, overcoming all obstacles; because their triumphs over adversity are triumphs of the Nation.

Union is strength, Peru!
